Anthony "Tony" Canfield's Medical Relief Fund

Hello everyone,

My name is Robert Holder, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my wife, Stephanie Holder, and her family. We are seeking your support for Stephanie’s father, Anthony “Tony” Canfield, who has recently faced significant health challenges.

Tony, born on June 4th, 1968, resides in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is a loving father to three daughters: Alisha Canfield, Stephanie Holder, and Danielle Canfield. Tragically, Tony lost his wife, Wendy Beth Snow Canfield, on November 30th, 2011, and has struggled with her passing ever since.

About two months ago, Tony suffered a major heart attack, which led to emergency heart surgery where a stent was placed. Just as he was beginning to recover, Tony suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on Thursday, July 18th, 2024. He is currently in the ICU at Corpus Christi Spohn Hospital, fighting for his life. He's intubated with an EVD to relieve the pressure on his brain and has not made significant improvement.

Tony’s stroke was exacerbated by his inability to take important life-saving medication due to financial challenges and the difficulty in securing an appointment with a primary care doctor. These medical emergencies have placed a tremendous financial burden on Tony and his family. The costs of the surgeries, hospital stays, and ongoing care are overwhelming. Tony has a very long road ahead of him and is currently awaiting approval for disability.

Tony has always been known for his generosity and willingness to help others. He often took in people who needed a place to stay or were down on their luck. Now, he needs our help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in his recovery journey.
