Antifragile Zine

Antifragile is a volunteer run youth-led art collective, independent zine publication, and media platform created by and for youth artists to document movements and change happening through art by youth right now. It is our core mission to highlight and uplift marginalized and underrepresented voices. Our team is composed of all female-identifying and non-binary youth creatives of color.
We are a growing youth artists collective that launched in mid-June 2020. In just the past few months, we have gained an audience of over 15k across all platforms, released our first print issue on September 1st, and sold over 250 copies. 25% of all proceeds from issue one were donated to the Homeless Black Trans Women Fund. We have currently expanded to a team of ~25 youth creatives of color across the world, and just released our second issue on January 1st, 2021.
Combatting the disproportionate amount of media catered to Eurocentric standards, Antifragile is committed to giving a platform to voices that often get pushed aside, to tell the stories that go untold, and to start conversations that bring forward social change. Our goal is to break stereotypes and myths that currently give power to the oppressive and dehumanizing systems currently in place. We want to represent youth and adolescence, as well as the experience of being a woman and non-binary person of color in the most genuine and unfiltered way. We see the power in liberation, and will maintain a raw, strong voice for artists while also lifting them up.
We are asking for funds to support printing our third publication, as well as financial support for events and projects to help us expand and reach our fullest potential. Additionally, we are currently volunteer based, and all our staff and contributors are unpaid. We would love to reach a place where we can compensate our wonderful staff, artists, and contributors in addition to sharing and publishing their hard work.
Thank you in advance for your support! We are so grateful for any donations and will do right by our mission.
