Anti-Racism Book Donation

As Frederick Douglas once said, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” We must educate our youth from a young age to become compassionate humans with awareness of the prejudices and privileges that exist in our world, through knowledge of black and multicultural history, civil rights movements, social injustices, diverse cultural identities, and immigration and refugee stories, to empower our children to be antiracist!
While Clarence Lobo Elementary School's library already has a selection of diverse books pertaining to black history, social injustices and multicultural identities, we would love to have an even larger selection for students and teachers to have access to in order to spread awareness and promote action against racism.
The money raised for this cause will go towards purchasing library books through the district, as well as black owned, independent bookstores throughout the state of California.
