Antonsen Family Relief

Hello,
My name is Caleb Tate and I am making this fundraising page on behalf of my dear friends Jack, Rachel and Judah Antonsen. If you do not know them, they are some of the sweetest, most selfless human beings I have ever met and they happen to be going through one of the toughest seasons of their lives.
In January of this year, Jack woke up to the sound of their family car getting broken into in the early hours of the morning and ran outside to see their car speeding down the street. He called the police only to get the news later that the car had been crashed by an underaged, unlicensed driver who crashed into an another parked car minutes after taking the car. The car was damaged beyond the possibility of driving. Unfortunately, the car was not fully insured and the Antonsen's are still making payments on a car that they are no longer driving. They currently do not own a drivable car as their older car finally gave out as well. They have been blessed by dear friends and neighbors to have access to a car whenever they need to run errands and travel around the city.
Subsequently, on February 14, 2023, Jack and Rachel announced to the world via social media that they were expecting their 2nd child Noah, expected in late August 2024. At that time, Rachel was 16 weeks into her pregnancy and was experiencing excruciating neck pain that interrupted her sleep often. She was also gaining weight at an alarming rate, not like her first pregnancy with Judah(now 2). The severity of what they would later discover was happening was never diagnosed or looked into.
Fast forward to April 12, 2024, Jack woke up to Rachel violently coughing in the middle of the night. She had been unable to sleep and breathing was getting very troublesome. She could not lay down without coughing and they quickly realized that something was not right. They decided to go to the hospital to make sure that Rachel and baby Noah were ok. Upon entering Sutter Medical Center Sacramento, Rachel’s labs and vitals were taken and No more than 30 minutes later, they were admitted into the hospital. They were then informed that Rachel was suffering from Preeclampsia accompanied with cardiomyopathy which is extremely rare, and causing her to experience heart failure. Preeclampsia affects the arteries carrying blood to the placenta. If the placenta doesn't get enough blood, the baby may receive inadequate blood and oxygen and fewer nutrients. This can lead to slow growth known as fetal growth restriction. This can cause high blood pressure and swelling, both of which Rachel was unknowingly experiencing. The doctors informed Jack and Rachel that due to the severity of her Preeclampsia, they would have to induce Rachel and have an emergency birth over the next 36 hours to attempt to save both Rachel and baby Noah.
Surrounded by his loving parents and what Jack could only describe to me as the best doctors and nurses possible, sweet baby Noah went on to be with Jesus on April 15, 2024 at 2:12am. Jack informed me that he and Rachel felt God's loving, sovereign hand over their entire hospital stay and that they are grateful for the medial care that was able to be provided for them in their time of need. The nurses on staff cried, prayed and grieved with Rachel and Jack during their entire stay at Sutter Medical Center.; for which they are eternally grateful.
Currently, Jack and Rachel are taking necessary time to grieve and process as a family, as this has been one of the most difficult years they’ve experienced.
I’m creating this fund to help bring the Antonsen’s the blessing of a fresh beginning after what has been a challenging year to say the least. They need funds to pay off the remaining balance of their car payments, funds to buy a new car, and funds to cover their expenses for up to 6 months as Rachel heals physically and they both heal emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Please prayerfully consider assisting Jack, Rachel and Judah as they embark on this extremely difficult journey of healing.
We will never ever forget you sweet baby Noah…
