Anya Deane's Head Shave for Cancer Research!

Hello, I'm Anya and I'm fourteen. Like many people, my family and friends have been affected by cancer so this year I wanted to try and do something to help!

 

On the afternoon of July 19th 2022 I'll be shaving my head for Cancer Research UK! Not only will all the money raised will go to this great cause, but because my hair is now over 18 inches long, it will be cut and sent to the Little Princess Trust . There they will use it to make wigs for children and people my age who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

 

I'm both excited and scared to do this, but it's always been a goal of mine to do it once my hair was long enough. I hope by going through with it, you'll be encouraged to make a donation, however small, to help me reach my goal!

 

Finally, I'm hoping to broadcast the shaving of my head live on social media on the day and will be posting links in due course - so watch this space!
