On Sunday, June 19, Anthony Apostolico, known for his generous spirit, kind heart and giving nature, lost his life in a tragic accident while driving home from work. Anthony was traveling with two of his children, both injured in the accident. Vincent is recovering in the hospital with multiple injuries. Elizabeth suffered leg injuries and is sitting by her brother's side as he recovers.

Anthony was the owner of the Italian Food Center in West Haverstraw, NY. Patrons remember his big smile, strong work ethic, always giving back to the community. The people that worked in the deli thought the world of Anthony and considered him to be more than a boss but a friend. He will be remembered for his kindness when he greeted people, treating them with respect and serving them with gratitude. As his loving wife, Tanya, said, "He loved what he did. He always looked forward to serving his community. Always happy to go to work and spend the day laughing and talking with his customers."

This is a devastating loss for his wife, children, family and Rockland and surrounding communities. Tanya and the kids have a long road ahead of them. We are hoping to alleviate some of their stress. Please keep Tanya, Vincent, Victoria, Elizabeth, Samantha and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
