Help Kildare Steiner School from Receivership

This fundraising campaign is created on behalf of the Kildare Steiner School community to help save the school from receivership.

Back in 2006 at the height of the Celtic Tiger, to expand the school, an additional building was built (currently the Primary School), and this was secured through a loan with a local Irish bank. All went well for some time, but by 2017, the school fell behind on the payments. The loan then was consequently sold to a vulture fund.

In 2020, there was a huge effort to settle the loan and as the agreement was about to be signed, the school entered a financially challenging period (COVID included), and the loan took a back seat.

This year, the current owner of the loan sent the school into receivership. The school has been negotiating with their servicer for several months now.

Now the whole school community is invested in raising a certain amount that due to legal obligations couldn't be disclosed. Rest assured that any amount raised herein will all go into settling the debt in full and final.

The Board of Management is very grateful to both the servicer and loan owner for giving the school another opportunity to put this great burden behind.
