Applaud the Squad

Donations will be used to buy food from local restaurants, bakeries and other small shops that have been impacted by COVID-19 and will be delivered to staff from hospitals in New York City that are fighting this unprecedented challenge.

$150-$450 is spent per meal to feed hospital staff in the emergency departments, fighting COVID. 

Currently, the hospitals include Lennox Hill, Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Long Island Jewish Hospital, NYP-Weill Cornell, and Columbia. As funding increases, we have contacts at other hospitals, so that we can expand our reach.

This all started with a small effort to bake cakes and cookies for healthcare workers. Since then, the need has become greater, especially for night shift workers, who don't have access to quality food. The idea is to order healthy and nutritious food and lift morale. This helps both the local businesses and healthcare workers.

Here's how you can help:
1) Donate whatever amount is feasible for you.
2) Reach out if you have contacts at other hospitals in NYC.
3) Stay indoors and stay safe.
