April McCoy Golf Career

Donation protected
April was introduced to the game of golf by her dad at age 9. She also played volleyball & basketball but arriving to high school she solely played golf. She was ranked 31 in the nation for her graduating class of 2011 and ranked number 1 in Texas. She received a full scholarship to Texas Christian University where she was the first African American to play on the women’s golf team. Her sophomore year in college she won the Windy City Collegiate Classic with scores of 73-72-69. She went on to graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice the fall 2015. She stepped away from the game for a couple of years to pursue her passion for juveniles. She has dreams of incorporating her love for golf with her love in helping guide trouble teens through life. She has gained a revived love for the game and is striving for the LPGA tour. She picked up a job in the off season to save for the upcoming season starting in April but is still short financially. Any donation is a huge blessing to help her achieve her dreams!
