Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training!

Thanks for taking a look at my gofundme! I realize that the word "yoga" conjures up a different image for everyone so let me share with you what it means to me. Yoga has been a life changer. It's grounded me, opened my heart, allowed me to connect to a body I spent most of my life trying to hide or escape from. It's more than just a workout, it's a tool for living a life full of compassion for myself and for others.

If you look around a typical yoga class, you may not see many bodies like mine. You may not see very diverse classes at all! This is why ultimately I finally surrendered to doing the teacher training. I loved yoga so much but struggled to find my place and I know I am not alone in that. I want to be able to create spaces and expriences where people KNOW that Yoga is for them.

I chose Kripalu because I feel they grow teachers who nurture their student's own expansion. Kripalu trained teachers create classes, retreats, sessions that connect physical, mental and emotional well being. They create a space where  people stop asking "How do I look" and start understanding how they feel and see their bodies as friends.

Kripalu training is a total immersion program. The school is world renowned and has been training yoga instructors for over 30 years. I will be taking time off work and my daily life to gather over 200 hours of training in July and August. My training will be long days, lots of work and deeply personal.

I'm asking for financial assistance mostly because I need the help (tuition, travel, supplementing time out of work) and ultimately because I know that this training will make an astounding impact in the lives of my clients, students and the paths I wander for the rest of my life. I truly appreciate your generosity and your investment not only in me, but mostly for those who will gain from what I can share with them.
