Sharon's journey

I've known Sharon Bolger (Sha) since I became college roommates with her youngest daughter, Sarah, many moons ago. Sharon immediately welcomed me into her heart and her family, accepting me effortlessly as the third daughter she never had. In the years I have known her I have witnessed her give of herself tirelessly, again and again. To know Sharon is to love her. She has made me feel welcome and cared for. I know I am not the only person who has felt cared for by Sharon. Caring for others is what she has done her whole life, both professionally and personally. From a young age she has been a care giver for many in her family in their time of need. As a registered nurse she has spent her career caring for others. And now, in a seemingly unjust twist of fate, Sharon finds herself needing care. The cancer that received itself in her body last summer has been swift and aggressive. It is stealing from her the years she had hoped to spend with her friends and family, with her daughters and grandchildren. It is stealing from us our mother and our grandmother. Our aunt, our sister, and our friend. 
Sharon's medical needs and expenses have not stopped, and as she is no longer able to return to work an added financial burden is placed on her and her family during this most difficult of times.
