Anyone that knows Rikki, already knows what a hardworking, fun loving, and caring woman she is. She's often the first person to offer a helping hand to help someone in need. She is a self-employed, single mother of her beautiful daughter, Mazie.
On September 8th, Rikki and her dear friend, Jennifer, left on a much deserved trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to celebrate Rikki's 50th Birthday! Unfortunately, on the evening of Friday, September 11th, Rikki suffered a stroke while getting ready for dinner at their resort. Thankfully, Jennifer and a physician on site recognized the signs and symptoms of a stroke, and called an ambulance right away. Rikki currently remains in the ICU at Amerimed Hospital in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She has been showing small improvements in her condition with each day, but still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. As many of you may have assumed, dealing with health insurance and hospital care in another country can present difficulty.
We are hopeful that with a little help from family, friends, aquantiances, clients, and even strangers with big hearts, we can bring Rikki back to the United States on a Medical Flight with the proper care that her condition requires, as soon as possible. Rikki is going to have a long journey ahead of her, and we are unclear at this point as to if/when she will be able to return to work.
If you feel as if you can possibly donate to help Rikki, we would all be forever grateful. Every little bit helps. We more than understand if you cannot at this point.
