Help me get to the Cheerleading Worlds!
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and supporters!
I am starting this gofundme to hopefully gain support in my journey to the 2025 Cheerleading Worlds! My team, Island Elite Swell, has received a bid to this invite-only event taking place in Orlando at Disney World this April (22nd-29th)!
I have been involved in cheerleading for ten years, which makes it fitting that in my tenth season I will be attending the most prestigious event in cheerleading! Here is a bit about my journey so far:
I started cheerleading in 2015 when I joined the Westshore Rebels. I fell in love with cheerleading and was quickly thrown into doing difficult skills as a rookie being put as a base into an all-veteran group. I remained a member of the Rebels where I became a captain until my final season in 2023.
I transitioned to all-star cheer as a fill-in on Empire Athletics’ open team, Dynasty in 2020. Unfortunately, my first season was cut short due to covid, but my passion for all-star cheer continued to grow throughout this time. I began to coach the U8 athletes at the gym and I received my level 1 coaching certification for the 2021 season. I remained on Dynasty from that time until the end of the 2022-2023 season when we won sea to sky for the first time in our programs history!
I have so much love and passion for cheerleading as an athlete and a coach! Today, I am level 3 certified and coach Empire Athletics’ U8 level 1 Majesty, BCU18 level 1 Monarchy, BCU18 level 2 Heiress, and the Westshore Rebels cheer team. I hope to continue coaching and eventually get certified up to level 5! It is so rewarding to inspire and support the next generation of cheerleaders and it means the world to me to coach all of the wonderful athletes at Empire Athletics!
I had always dreamed of being on a high level team and eventually going to the Cheerleading Worlds, but I never thought it would be possible without moving off the island.
Last year, I tried out and made the UVIC Vikes cheerleading team where I learned brand-new level 7 skills that challenged me and inspired me! It was a dream season and although it didn’t work out to continue with Vikes this season due to my university course load, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to join Island Elite’s worlds team in the fall of this season. We received a bid (invite) to Worlds at our very first competition, and it still hasn’t really clicked that I am going to achieve my goal of 10 years in just over a month.
Although this has been a dream come true, all-star cheerleading is expensive and also holds additional challenges due to time commitment limiting my availability at work and financially on top of school and everyday expenses. I am hoping to raise money to help ease these expenses and support my once in a lifetime experience of competing at Worlds.
Donations will go towards covering/repaying:
- airfare for Worlds (Vic>Orlando)
- accomodation at Disney
- food/groceries while at Worlds
- final training and practice costs
- competition fees
- worlds practice gear
Any contributions, big or small, will help aid in my journey to achieving my dream! If you are able to donate, I will be extremely grateful! If you are unable to donate, sharing this with your friends or family would be just as appreciated.
Thank you for your consideration, and thank you for donating, sharing, or supporting in any way you can! I can’t wait to make everyone proud and represent the island on the big stage!
