Our family needs your help

Hi, my name is Victoria Braun. I am creating this fundraiser to ask for your help, which is something I am not used to doing. On July 10th, tragedy struck our family. My father's wife, Joyce, died suddenly at age 60 of a health related emergency in their apartment and she was my father's caregiver, as he is disabled with mobility issues due to complications of diabetes and other health issues. When she passed away on the floor of their living room, my father was in his bed, unaware of his wife's condition in the other room. He was unable to get out of bed without help and quickly became unable to get help for himself and his wife and without his medication, food and water, he went into diabetic shock. From the time line we gathered, he was there 4-5 days before help arrived after a well-check was called into the Villa Hills police department in KY by Joyce's work after she had not shown up to work for over 2 days and was not answering her phone. The police department found my father's wife badly decomposed on the living room floor and my father in his bed unconscious but still breathing. He was taken to St Elizabeth's hospital where he bravely fought to hang onto life through many medical issues and surgery resulting from the trauma to his body. He passed away on August 8th. So, I am asking for help on behalf of our family to help us pay for one very expensive cost accrued in this truly horrible tragedy which is the biohazard bill from the clean up after this unthinkable scene in their apartment. The bill for the trauma and crime scene clean up is $6274.00. The apartment complex gave us the bill for the clean up cost which will need to be paid, soon. My father and wife had renter's insurance but the insurance company has denied the claim saying this was not covered under their policy. This cost along with the cost of Joyce's funeral and the care for my father and now his funeral expenses are just too much for our family to handle.
