Lost my job!

My name is Nicki. I retired but had to find work after retirement. I usually have enough money to pay my car and my insurance and barely get by but I just lost my job unexpectedly. I am looking to work as a paraeducator with special needs children at a local school district district. The problem is that I'll need my car for the job since it sometimes includes transporting children. I don't have a lot of pride rolled up in the car but I think it's gonna be harder for me to start over and rent a car until I have my first paycheck. I am very hopeful that I'll be working for the school district within the next month or so. My problem is going to be waiting for that first paycheck.

I appreciate anything that you can contribute. But if you can contribute on a loan basis only, I am willing to fill out a promissory note. I borrowed money to get this car in the first place and paid back all of my lenders. (I can refer you to them and they will let you know that they were repaid) I was able to work for two years and pay the note but I have no savings so when you lose your job...between jobs everything falls apart sometimes.
