Aquethzaly Alvarez Perez

I want you to meet Aquethzaly. She is only 12 years old and a few months ago, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocyte Leukemia. For those who don’t know, it is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells. Ally, as she likes to be called, is going through intensive courses of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. At such a young age, this poor girl has to deal with so much pain. Since being diagnosed, her mother had to leave  her job to be with her daughter while undergoing treatments. She is barely getting by with the help of friends and family for the past few months. Treatment is not easy. It takes an emotional, physical and monetary toll on the family. Ally’s mom has a monthly rent to meet, groceries to put on the table, and many obligations that need to be met but she can’t bring herself to leave her daughter’s side when she needs her most. It’s heartbreaking to say the least. Mom has been trying her best to make it through every day. Any help that you could find in your heart to give, would be a blessing for this family. Let’s help them cover some of their bills. Let’s help Ally in her road to recovery.
