Comment from the Bueno family, "November 28th, 2020 my mom was taken by ambulance to the hospital because she was unresponsive and wouldn’t wake up. It was later found out through a CT scan that she had a brain bleed that had compromised both sides of her brain, leaving her with very little neurological function. The doctors discussed the next steps and it was decided that because she wasn’t responsive and her reflexes fading, she was declared brain dead.She loved being a mom, she loved watching all of us grow, and she loved caring for others, even when it was an inconvenience to her. In 2012 she signed up to be an organ and tissue donor so she is currently on a ventilator to help preserve her organs while they run tests. Either Monday, Nov 30th or Tuesday, Dec 1st, she will be taken off the ventilator and taken to surgery where she’ll be able to continue to care for people. Nothing can describe what my family and I are currently going through and what a massive hole it left in all of our hearts. She brought a lot of light, positivity, and strength to the lives she has touched. She was honestly living her best life in 2020: happily being unapologetically herself, doing things that she wanted to do, and really embracing whatever made her happy. I don’t know what else to say besides this fucking sucks and you don’t expect to lose your parent at 53 years old. Araceli Bueno is one of those individuals that lit up a room and grabbed an audience with her beautiful smile and her charisma. It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Araceli Bueno. Araceli’s kindness was encompassing and her laugh infectious. Araceli was an amazing wife and mother, and was beloved by all that knew her. Araceli was the kindest person you could meet, full of love, compassion, and life even after death, as she has chosen to donate her organs and tissue to those who need it most. She is survived by her loving family, including her husband and 3 children. They are now faced with incredible grief due to the untimely and unexpected passing of Araceli Bueno. We are raising money for the family, as you can imagine that at this difficult time they will be incurring large funeral costs and would benefit from additional funds to help them get through this difficult time and and ongoing grief/recovery.
