Support Arbroath Connections to Stay Open
Donation protected
Arbroath Connections is a centre providing vital support for people with mild to moderate dementia in the community. We are open 3 days a week, provide a diverse range of support and activities all aimed at supporting people to remain as well as possible and engaged in their community. We also provide a nutritious lunch which we all prepare together.
Carers are always welcome at our centre and can stay if they wish or they can have some much needed respite. We offer 1 – 1 and group support for our families. This service can provide carers and families with respite of up to 15 hours per week which is often the practical support that carers need.
Arbroath Connections opened in December 2022 under the umbrella of another charity but due to a challenging third sector environment we found ourselves in a position that we may have had to close. Three staff members along with our dedicated volunteers stepped up to the challenge and successfully registered Arbroath Connections as its own charity on the 11th March 2024. We are very passionate about the support we provide and we recognise how needed this service is for many families in our community.
As a small charity we luckily don’t have huge costs however we do rely on membership fees, grants and fundraising to allow us to provide this valuable community resource.
Our priority is always quality of life, ensuring members and carers get the support they deserve and always have a welcoming, safe environment with staff who are friendly and warm.
Any money that we raise will go towards keeping Arbroath Connections open and running.
