Arcadia: An Original D&D-style Web Series

What is Arcadia?
Set in the heart of Brooklyn, Arcadia is a web series that tells the story of a group of friends trying to find their place in the artistic landscape. This coming-of-age tale explores themes of community, grief, and tradition, all through the nerdy lens of a Dungeons-and-Dragons-styled campaign. All these characters' hopes, fears, and conflicts bleed into their time in the fantasy role-playing game, coloring how they experience the world, how they interact with each other, and how they view themselves.

Why create?

'What is the point of expressing art in the modern world?' It's a question this team of young artists resonates with on a daily basis. We see Arcadia as a celebration of the creative spirit. A show that's completely original and resonates with anyone who's ever wanted to create. Its conception started from the idea of growing a community of said creators, and its existence is proof that spirit is still strong. For over half a year, that community of actors, producers, writers, and directors has been established. With ties spanning all over the entertainment industry, the Arcadia machine is passionate and hungry to get started.

Our goal:

To shoot the best pilot episode possible. Arcadia is an ambitious story, one that will span several episodes and (hopefully) several seasons. We're starting off with a smaller, yet realistic budget with plans of using the finished product as a pitch to potential investors and networks. Funds will be used to properly compensate the cast and crew, secure set locations, and pay for the necessary equipment.
