Archer Bonacci’s Fibular Hemimelia Medical Fund
Donation protected
As some of you may know, my nephew Archer was born without a fibula bone in his right leg. My sister learned that he would be born with a limb difference while she was pregnant in 2022. His diagnosis is fibular hemimelia. Archer is a spunky little one who has a high likelihood of achieving a functioning leg rather than amputation. Our goal is for him to achieve full functionality; however, this does present many challenges he will have to face. He will undergo a series of very complex, expensive surgeries, the very first of which is currently scheduled on 11/29/23 at the Rubin Institute in Maryland. This surgery is called a superankle, and it will serve to stabilize Archer’s ankle by placing cadaver bone where no bone developed. Please help support The Bonacci Family, as this will include time missed from work, travel expenses, and robust surgery expenses. Archer has had many medical opinions and has already gotten his first orthotic (which was $500 out of pocket). Let’s all contribute to help relieve the financial burden on this family so they may spend their energy and focus on Archer’s recovery, his care, and the family’s emotional well-being. Thank You.
