Archie Needs Emergency Vet Care

My beloved dog, Archie, is extremely sick, and I need financial help to get him diagnosed & treated. Anything you contribute will go directly towards saving him. I appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support beyond measure.

The full story:

Archimedes "Archie" Barozzini is everyone's pal, Dogfather of the dog park, and the glue which holds my world together when things aren't at their best. He is one of the most loving, protective, loyal, silly pups you could possibly meet. Which is why my heart is breaking as I scramble to save his life now.

Archie was diagnosed with Addison's disease in August of 2017, but had been responding well to the monthly shots and daily medications which help regulate his condition. He's kept his goofy demeanor, and positive attitude despite his disease.

Three weeks ago, however, Archie became lethargic, lost his appetite, and just generally ceased to be his bouncy, animated self. I used all of the money I had saved to get him to his veterinarian for diagnostic tests. His examinations & bloodwork returned bad news: He has a severely swollen lymph node (which could indicate either an infection or cancer), & his blood tests indicate possible kidney disease.

The vet has recommended that we get Archimedes into a pet hospital immediately. As he has lost a significant amount of weights (16 lbs in under a month), he first and foremost needs professionally administered fluids, intravenous nutrition and antibiotic medications. Only once his general strength is stabilized can they then proceed with other testing (abdominal ultrasound, biopsy for Lymphoma, etc...) to pinpoint what is wrong, and how to proceed. The STARTING estimate for his hospitalization and testing is $4,000. It may very well be much more money, but they cannot know until they have him. This is all necessary to simply diagnose the true cause of what ails him. We may have an even greater battle from here.

This dog is a part of my family. He has never met someone he couldn't win over with his smile. He only ever gives his best to everyone, and he deserves nothing less in return.
