Archie reps Australia

Hi I'm Archie, I'm 20 years old and I'm the fastest junior Biathlete in Australia. (This year I won gold at the Australian U22 Biathlon Champs in both the Sprint and the Distance Race, as well as being the fastest overall man in the Continental Cup.)  In January & February 2020 I will be travelling to Europe to train and represent Australia for the second time at the IBU Junior World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

Unlike other winter sports, Australian biathlon is entirely self-funded, with no major sponsorship or government support. So I have been saving up for my campaign by grinding away on 3 part-time jobs, while studying Media full-time at CIT. At the same time I have been training incredibly hard in one of the most intense sports in the world. Combining the strength & fitness of cross country skiing with the focus & control of shooting a series of targets at 50 meters.

I still need to raise around $6000 to reach my goal, so any donation would be very helpful. All funds will go towards:
- Airfares & insurance 
- Athlete accommodation and living expenses
- Travel between races and training venues
- Competition entry & membership fees
- Coaching costs
- Ski equipment, tuning and ammunition

One of my proudest moments was opening the relay for Australia the 2019 Junior World Champs at Orsblie, Slovakia in January, and I can't wait to compete again at Lenzerheide, Switzerland in 2020. Thank you very much for reading and you can watch me live on Eurovision Sports in January!
