Archie Stevenson Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Archie Stevenson and his son were at home sleeping in his 3rd floor apartment at 91st and Ashland early Tuesday morning, September 27, when a fire broke out in the unit next to him. The fire quickly spread to his apartment, and although Archie and his son were able to safely escape the fire. Furniture, electronics, and clothing were either burned, water damaged, or completely covered in ash or smoke.
Archie is a single dad in his late 40s, a hard worker and well-loved by both staff and tenants at Mana Contemporary Chicago, where he is known for his positive attitude and ability to keep everyone smiling and happy in any situation. We started this Gofundme for Archie to help him develop a smooth transition back to an ordinary living situation, covering some of the costs of basic living expenses.
His employer, Mana Contemporary, will be matching donations up to $3,000. Please consider donating if you are able.
