Arctic Blast Challenge Velindre Cancer Centre

I’m fundraising for Velindre Cancer centre by trekking 100k across the Arctic Circle in some of the worlds harshest conditions, with 14-16hr treks daily and temperatures dropping to -60 at night!

As preparation, I, along with a team of others, will be learning various arctic survival techniques such as: ice-breaking drills and self rescue drills. How to build emergency shelters and snow holes + expedition foot care/nutrition/clothing essentials.

Velindre is recognised as one of the leading centres for treatment and research of this painfully relentless disease, and we need to be persistent in our efforts to support the research, development and treatment which saves lives.
