Hello all!
As you might already know my mother was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer (stage 2b-3a). I’m raising money for my mother’s mastectomy, reconstruction, chemotherapy, radiation treatment, recovery, and lost wages.
My mother is my main support system and best friend. I’m an only child and she raised me basically as a single mother. So far we have raised $1,000 for her treatment. She's a beautiful and kind person, and she needs support now more than ever. I hope to help her through this hard time.
Unfortunately she might be billed $50,000 even with insurance to get both breasts removed. This total doesn't include chemotherapy, radiation, recovery, and lost wages. This is why I decided to create a GoFundMe, 60 percent of all bankruptcies each year are caused by medical bills. I believe no one should choose between bankruptcy and life. Her chemo is starting in a matter of weeks and hopefully will get the necessary funds by the end of the year.
If you could support my GoFundMe by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, I would greatly appreciate it. I believe no one should choose to fight and survive a hard battle such as cancer and be stuck with these drastic bills.
