Argos Animal Welfare Charity Ithaca

My name is Kerry and I am a volunteer on behalf of Argos Animal Welfare Charity in Ithaca, Greece. We are appealing to our friends, family & followers near & far to support us in the welfare of all stray animals on the island.

Argos Animal Welfare Charity is a group of local people working to ensure the best possible welfare of the animals on the island which includes feeding, neutering & helping any sick or injured animals.

We are a very small island that unfortunately doesn’t benefit from a resident Vet and therefore we rely heavily on volunteers coming to the island to support our work. I am sure you can imagine that this all comes at a cost and we rely on donations of all kinds. Even our little island did not go untouched by the Covid pandemic. It had a massive impact with regards to Vets being unable to travel to us along with reduced tourism which meant less fund raising & lots of kittens & puppies being born.

We kindly ask for any support possible to help us continue & improve the work we do to ensure all the beautiful animals of the island are cared for and looked after in the best possible way.

The donations we receive will be used for the following:

• Neutering Programme for Cats & Dogs

• Feeding stray animals

• Treatment for sick animals

• Treatment for injured animals

• Upkeep of building used for Vet visits

• Surgical equipment for Vet visits

• Boxes, Cages, Traps etc
