ARGS ROBOTICS TEAM
I am reaching out on behalf of the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School robotics team #404 with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for assistance.
Our team, entirely run by students, operates with the invaluable support of donations and sponsorships. In 2020, after years of dedicated saving, we were finally able to purchase our first trailer. It was a milestone moment, representing not just a mode of transportation but a symbol of our collective hard work and dedication.
However, our joy turned to dismay this week when, just before our first competition of the season, our trailer was stolen, despite our best efforts with a hitch lock. The trailer held essential pit materials, signage, and tools, all vital components of our competitive arsenal. This loss strikes deep, particularly for a team like ours, operating with limited funds and resources.
Despite this devastating setback, our team showed remarkable resilience, finishing 10th in the competition and even earning the prestigious team spirit award. However, the reality remains: we are now faced with a critical need. Without a trailer, our ability to compete effectively and safely is severely compromised.
This is where we turn to you, our community, for support. As of now, there are no funds available to replace the stolen trailer, and time is of the essence as we strive to salvage what remains of our season. Every dollar contributed will make a significant difference, helping to rebuild what was taken from us and allowing our students to continue pursuing their passion for robotics.
Thank you from the depths of our hearts for considering our cause and for any support you can offer. Your generosity will not only help to replace a trailer but also keep the spirit of our incredible students alive and thriving. Together, let’s ensure that the spirit of GO 404 not found remains unbroken.
With profound gratitude,
ARGS TEAM 404
