Memoir: Dead Presidents-The Real Story

This is the story of Ari Merretezon. The living legend and decorated combat veteran who fought in the Vietnam War and served time for robbing a United States Mail truck without putting the lives of the custodians of the mail in danger for approx. $400,000 back in 1969 of money that would otherwise be burned or taken out of circulation.

In prison, he created the Incarcerated Veterans Assistance Organization(IVAO) to provide college credits and apprenticeship training to veterans and other prisoners. He was recognized personally at the White House by President Jimmy Carter after his early release from prison after 5 years. His life inspired the movie plot of "Dead Presidents" because of the intricacies of the robbery and motive.

Now, Ari is writing a book on his entire life story.

This fundraiser supports the creation of Ari's memoirs being finished and published. He is still assisting veterans inside and outside of prisons to this day.
