Celebration of Life: February 10th, 2024 at 2pm at 3681 Wilder Rd, Big Pine Key, Fl 33043

Ariane Wolgamott was a key member of her community: a realtor for Berkshire Hathaway for six years, a key part of the Boondocks gift shop family, a hardworking member of the Old Wooden Bridge family, a strong supporter and friend but most importantly she was a loving mother to Thomas. Their entire worlds revolved around one another. Ariane moved to the Keys from Germany by herself in 1998 and had Thomas a year later in 1999. They were everything for each other. She was a single mother who raised him alone his entire life. Thomas often says that “she was it for me, she was everything”. Late Friday night, Ariane was rushed to Fisherman’s ER in Marathon Florida. By 1am Saturday morning, she had passed away unexpectedly and suddenly, leaving Thomas without his rock. Earlier this year, Ariane’s mother in Germany had been sick with stage 4 cancer requiring lung surgery and lots of treatment. Ariane sent her mother everything she had in hopes of helping her mother, but in doing so, she left Thomas with very little. Ariane being the loving mother she was and stubborn German woman she was took care of everything for Thomas. He is having to grow up very quick in a very short amount of time. Trying to figure out finances, leases, money, property, insurance, wills, funeral arrangements, and most importantly trying to figure out the grieving process. Thomas has been a hardworking Fury Jetski guide for 2 years, his community loves and respects him. He works 60 hours a week, but will be missing work for a week or so trying to get everything worked out for his mother. He will also eventually have to take more time off work to take his mother’s ashes to Germany for his Grandmother. During this rough grieving period, any kind of donations whether it be monetary contributions, food, or just support would be greatly and lovingly appreciated during this difficult time of grief.
Cremation and Memorial date at Dean Lopez funeral home in Big Pine will be announced later. As well as a celebration of life at the beach will be announced later once details are set.
