On February 10th, a tragic accident occurred that unexpectedly took away the life of Ariel Rivas Rosado. Ariel was a ten-year-old boy who attended School Number 4 in Linden, N.J. He was full of life with a huge smile and would perform in many of the school assemblies and performances. In addition to being an active member of his school community, he was active in the City of Linden and would participate in many of its events. He was an active member of the dancing school "Quimbara Dance Studio." His salsa skills were exceptional and he recently won a first-place medal at the World Salsa Summit held in Miami, Florida on January 18th, 2023.
Ariel believed deeply in helping others. He was part of School Number 4's Safety Patrol and would always advocate for the well-being of other people. He wanted to be both a basketball player and a lawyer because he was passionate about the sport and about helping others. He was recently featured in The Mayor's Youth Commission "Dine to Donate" campaign and was excited to be featured in future videos to raise money for the senior class of 2023. Ariel's parents, Dayanara Rosado Quezada
and Carlos Rivas would like their son to be remembered as a boy who loved life and loved his friends and family deeply.
The accidental death of their son, Ariel Rivas Rosado, was a devastating, unexpected shock to the family. As friends of the family, we do not want the cost of the final expenses and honoring him to be a financial burden while they are grieving him. We, the friends of Carlos Rivas and the Rivas Family, have come together to do this fundraiser. All the funds will go directly to the family and will be used for final expenses and repast to celebrate and honor their son. This fundraiser is being done with the explicit permission of the family and all funds will go directly to them. Please help us lay to rest the Rivas family's beloved son. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
