Arizona Rangers

Drawing on the rich heritage of the Arizona Territorial Rangers, the modern Arizona Rangers were organized as a uniformed law enforcement auxiliary in 1957 and in 2002 were recognized by the State Legislature in Chapter 40 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.  There are currently almost 500 Rangers organized in 22 companies throughout the State.

The Arizona Rangers provide law enforcement assistance and support, when requested, to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies within the State of Arizona, security services for community and civic organizations, as well as support for youth and youth organizations within Arizona.

Past and present, the dedicated unselfish and honorable Arizona Rangers have proven to be a valuable and important part of Arizona’s historical culture. The following are among the services provided by the Arizona Rangers without compensation. School security, security at extracurricular school activities, courtroom security, second officer in car, traffic control at parades, accidents and fires. Security at hospitals and COVID testing sites, other recent activities include Shop with a Cop, distributing thousands of pairs of new shoes to underprivileged students and maintaining a museum which has hosted school and other youth organization field trips.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, the all-volunteer Arizona Rangers always appreciate donations by individuals and corporations to defray the cost of operations, training and equipment. Not only do donations help keep the Arizona Rangers organization operating, but your donations also help less fortunate children across the State. The companies support local youth groups, sporting events and camps as well as a number of college scholarships that are awarded each year. Other programs that are assisted by the Arizona Rangers include the Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership which helps homeless and hungry school children, MADD, and Honor Flights of Arizona.
