Arlene Douglas White Memorial

My name is Justin White, and I'm organizing a fundraiser for our mama, Arlene D. White's memorial and donation to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. On Saturday, November 26, 2022, mama passed away after an extended illness from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). I was able to spend the final two weeks of her life with her at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas.

We will have a memorial to celebrate mama's life on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Pearson, GA. The church's address is 376 Pearson Street, Pearson, GA 31642. The family will receive visitors from 0930 - 1045, with the service beginning at 1100. Please join us to celebrate the life of our mama and a friend to so many. She never met a stranger and was sure to spend hours talking to anyone that would listen!

Mama and I both felt strongly about the compassionate and loving care Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice personnel provided. Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice https://www.hynesmemorial.org/ is a non-profit organization that relies on gifts to support hospice patients, their families, and their staff.

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests donations to this gofundme account, which will help fund the critical and exceptional work of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Mama was served by their in-patient Hospice Center at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, and family was allowed to stay 24/7 in the room with her. Although this facility is within a hospital, Harry Hynes provides a more home-like setting where patients and guests are treated like family. Through donations, basic essentials such as toiletries, gowns, shirts, towels, snacks, coffee, drinks, etc., are provided for patients and guests at no cost.
