Arlene Needs Our Support

Those of us who live or lived in the Tampa Bay area and listened to WMNF 88.5 FM will remember Arlene and Mary: the dynamic, informative, engaging, and wonderful wife-wife duo who hosted "The Women's Show," later re-named "From a Woman's Point of View," for almost three decades. And if you listened, like me, your life was made better: more informed, more engaged, more enlightened, and more empowered. Even off the air, Mary and Arlene devoted their lives to helping others. We lost Mary to cancer a few months ago, and Arlene is now facing huge financial challenges on top of her deeply emotional loss. Her rent has doubled in the apartment she and Mary lived in for 35 years, she no longer has Mary's social security or other income, and she now has to move by January but has neither the financial means nor physical ability to manage this huge transition. She has lost so much, and after so many years of supporting and helping our community, it's time to support and help her. Please donate what you can to help Arlene relocate and start the next phase of her life, surrounded by our love and assistance. All funds will be given directly to Arlene.
