In Loving Memory of Arlene Padilla

Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls,
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the unexpected passing of Arlene Padilla - a cherished mother, wife, friend, colleague, social worker, and caregiver. She departed from us early in the morning on 11/12/2023, a day that was meant to be our daughter Isabelle's birthday celebration. The shock of this loss weighs heavily on all of us, and I hope to find answers in the coming months. As far as I know, according to the medical examiner, it was due to an abnormal growth or mass in the brain.
Arlene had been eagerly anticipating Izzy's birthday for months. We had discussed everything, from the Cocomelon-themed invitations to the cake. The abruptness of her departure and the fact that Izzy will miss out on the joy of having her wonderful mother at her side pains me deeply. It's challenging to look at my daughter without tears when she sings mommy songs or mentions her.
Arlene was a shining example of compassion, consistently dedicated to her social work duties, tirelessly caring for others. Her warmth and genuine concern drew friends, colleagues, and clients to her. Despite the challenges in our marriage, Arlene remained a caring presence in our lives, especially for the sake of our daughter, Isabelle.
I vividly recall the challenges of Arlene's pregnancy during the pandemic. Due to COVID restrictions, I couldn't be present during her doctor visits. Not wanting me to miss any moment, Arlene would sneak pictures of the ultrasound. The most precious moment was when I was allowed into the operating room during the birth of our wonderful daughter, Isabelle.
Arlene's career as a social worker was truly extraordinary. She served as a beacon of support for those in need, and her impact extended far beyond the professional realm. Colleagues admired her dedication, clients found solace in her care, and friends cherished her empathetic nature. Arlene's caring spirit transcended boundaries, making her a perfect mother who prioritized the well-being of Isabelle above all else.
I am reaching out to you today to request your support for the funeral and associated expenses as we bid farewell to Arlene. The funds raised will be used to give her the dignified farewell she deserves and to ease the financial burden on our family during this difficult time. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference. These funds will honor Arlene's memory, covering funeral costs, memorial services, and any unforeseen expenses. Your generosity will allow us to focus on cherishing Arlene's legacy and supporting Isabelle through this challenging period.
As we navigate the days ahead without Arlene, your support will provide comfort and relief during a time of profound grief. Arlene's caring spirit will forever be remembered, and your kindness will be etched in our hearts.
Thank you for your love, understanding, and consideration.
With sincere gratitude,
Luis Padilla
