A Second Chance For A New Addition

Hello everyone! July 8, 2014 changed our lives forever. I was 7 months pregnant with a little girl Emma Lynn. I went for a routine checkup and discovered Emma had no heartbeat. Bill and I were heartbroken, devastated and confused. You see, I have a healthy 13 year old from a previous relationship. Even though Bill has no biological children, he considers and continues to raise Alysha as his own. We were so excited to complete our family. Our 13 year old daughter was ecstatic about becoming a big sister! But that all came crashing into a million pieces.  I had a very healthy pregnancy so this made us very confused. After months of testing on Emma, Bill and myself, we finally discovered Emma had a chromosome 10 abnormality. Unfortunately, my husband is the carrier. After many doctor appointments with many different specialists, it was determined the only way we could have a healthy baby was to have In vitro fertilization (IVF) with what they call PGD. PGD is preimplantation genetic diagnosis where they can check the embryos for the Chromosome 10 abnormality before we do IVF. This will give us the healthy baby that our family has dreamed of having. Although we want to do everything we can to have a child of our own, the insurance will not cover the estimated $10,000 lab bill!   All we want is to complete our family but we need help! Any little help you can give us would be so greatly appreciated! Another baby will never replace our beautiful little girl we lost, but any donation will help us move forward and continue the process. All proceeds received will be applied towards any medical needs for gaining another healthy child in our world.
