Arnulfo Martinez Alfaro was born on March 18, 1948 in the city of Apopa of San Salvador.

Arnulfo leaves behind his beloved wife of 28 years Esperanza. In addition he will be greatly missed by his 6 children and 10 grandchildren.

As a child he had a love for soccer and played in various teams over the years. One could always find him on a soccer field as it was his favorite place to be. Specifically, he loved “Eagle Park” in Mountain View where he spent 30 years playing soccer on the weekends.

Arnulfo prided himself on being a good citizen and obeying the laws of the land. He was dependable, punctual, and always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a sharp mind down to the end and knew how to fix anything that was broken.

He loved children and animals. He cared deeply for his sweet pup, Troy, who he affectionately referred to as his son. He also loved food and various types of music. Son, vallenatos, salsa and boleros were among his favorite genres.

Arnulfo always had an interest in what the Bible teaches and knew that one day man could have a perfect government that would never be brought to ruin. He showed strong faith in the resurrection hope and even spoke fondly of it towards the end.

He looked forward to seeing such promises fulfilled and knew that life was meant to be filled with love, laughter, family, and friends.
