Haize Hawke is a Certified Doula and a Student Midwife.
She is also a Spiritual Counselor and Community Leader.
Like many birth professionals during a pandemic, she is serving those who generally don't have access to resources, finding them food, supplies, and at times, shelter- known as full spectrum care.
We are raising money so that Haize can continue to provide these resources for her community as well a complete her own midwifery training, and pay for the board exams and certifications.

More about Haize:
As an advanced Doula, she honors birth as a sacred Rite of Passage and the womb as its Temple. Haize supports the belief that pregnancy is a spiritual, emotional, mental and physical journey where the Family’s thoughts and emotions, the emotional changes witnessed by the Partner and the physical/emotional changes the Expectant Mother feels within her body, all impact how a woman chooses to birth her baby.
Haize provides mothers with a safe haven where they can ask questions, speak freely, and gain advice and support - a sacred counsel for women in their journey at this most sacred time of life, giving guidance through the emotional aspect of pregnancy and labor. She also offers counseling for birth related issues, including fear in labor, birth traumas throughout the matrilineal ancestry, and postpartum concerns.
She is dedicated to preserving the ancestral knowledge of granny midwifery. She returned to Ghana as one of the pieces of her ancestral training, and is a community resource and elder.
