Arrieta Family-House Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
On September 24, Jeffrey and Christina Arrieta, along with their two young daughters, Riley (7) and Lili (2), experienced everyone’s worst nightmare - an electrical fire that caused their home to go up in flames. Fortunately the family was not home when the fire occurred and they are unharmed. A brave and kind neighbor tried to save their beloved dog Steel, but the smoke was too thick and unsafe to enter. Eventually the firemen found Steel hiding under the girls' beds and they carried him out and provided him with oxygen. Sadly, the next morning, due to the severe smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning Steel suffered, they had to make the painful decision to put him to sleep. Steel was Christina's first baby and the girls and Jeff loved and adored him. The family is just grateful they got to say goodbye. Now, unable to live in their home and with the majority of their personal items being severely smoke-damaged they are trying to pick up the pieces and put their lives back together.
When they thought things could not possibly get worse, they were served a 3 day eviction notice at no fault of their own. Jeff and Christina are trying to stay positive for the girls but are completely broken and devastated. We are hoping that with the help from friends and family, we can raise the funds necessary to go towards hiring their own private fire investigator, legal counsel, appliances, beds, desks, school supplies for the girls, and a place to stay, etc.
We all know what a tough year this has been for everyone and every penny donated is appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read their story and thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to offer. We will continue to post updates regularly. Your support means the world to Jeff, Christina, Riley, and Lili and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
