Art Film about Complex Trauma

Complex is a short art film, written and directed by an actress who is a survivor of childhood abuse. An artistic interpretation of experiences, aimed at connecting with and helping other survivors.

We are hoping to raise awareness for Complex PTSD, an illness survivors of childhood abuse frequently suffer.
Many people are unaware of this very serious illness and our hope is to shine a light on this important issue.

The themes covered in Complex are abuse, addiction, betrayal, love and loneliness.

Complex is an art project at its core, with a vision to help trauma survivors and those suffering from mental ill health through the mediums of film and art.

We are displaying art by survivors: paintings, drawings, poetry etc..

Creativity and self expression can be so healing. Our goal is to bring this healing to others.

The initial goal is to shoot two scenes from the film to use as a trailer to get further funding.
The project as a whole is very ambitious, with many visual effects, we wish to make something beautiful that resonates with those who need to feel seen, which sometimes, we all do.
