Art for Assistants - Christopher Wilson
Donation protected
No photographer is an island. While I may be the keeper of the vision, my grips, my gaffers, my stylists, my art directors, my producers, my PA’s, all my assistants, they are the ones creating that vision. Actually it’s worse than that. If I am Oz, I am only Great because of their collective wizardry behind the curtain. They are my saviors, my co-conspirators, my sounding boards, my Fifth Beatles if you will - the ones who get no credit for my successes, but deserve much of it. That is why, in this time of zero production, I am asking you to join us in “Art for Assistants,” a GoFundMe campaign started by Tim Tadder to turn paper and ink into financial support for photography assistants.
Specifically, we at Christopher Wilson Photography are selling 100 11” x17” prints of the 7 Christopher Wilson images pictured here - all on Fotospeed fine art, archival paper. Prints are selling for $100 each, but of course, donations of any size are welcome.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of these photography prints (with an exception of the 3% that goes to GoFundMe) will go to my extraordinary assistants who no longer have the opportunity to work due to Covid-19.
For donations of $100 or more, please send an email to [email redacted]tography with your best mailing address and phone number along with a screen grab of your print of choice. Once we receive confirmation of donation, your signed print will be printed and mailed to you at the end of the fundraising campaign.
Please note, given current shipping costs, we cannot ship overseas - Continental United States only. Once 100 prints (in total) are sold, we will end our campaign, and pass the baton to two other wonderful photographers to keep the campaign going and the support coming in.
We encourage you to share this campaign with your audience, and greatly appreciate your time, consideration and any possible donation you wish to give during this challenging time for all of us.
Thank you all for being superheroes with invisible capes.
