Art for Autism: Zines for Autism Acceptance Month
Tax deductible
About This Project:
Hello! I'm a 17-year-old artist who is passionate about using my creativity to make a difference. During April (Autism Acceptance Month), I'm raising funds for the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN), a vital nonprofit led by and for autistic individuals.
Our Sponsor:
This fundraiser is proudly organized by Philanthropy in Crafting (PIC). PIC is a nonprofit organization for creatives of all kinds, dedicated to serving the world through the creation of art. In February, we raised over $300 for charity in honor of Valentine’s Day, selling artisan eternal roses for the holiday. As the president of Philanthropy in Crafting, it is my mission to create accessible ways for creatives to do service.
What You'll Receive:
For a minimum donation of $20, you'll receive a beautifully illustrated, full-color zine (a small, independently produced magazine). This zine offers a unique perspective on autism, featuring:
- Illustrated scenarios that bring diverse autistic experiences to life.
- Autism terminology and easy-to-understand explanations about autism.
- Information to dispel common misconceptions about autism.
- A curated list of helpful resources for further learning.
- Fun and informative facts about autism.
How to Donate and Receive Your Zine:
Simply donate $20 or more through this GoFundMe campaign. Every dollar goes directly to the ASAN. After donating, fill out the Google form to finalize your order. Once your donation is confirmed, I'll send you a message confirming your order. A digital version of your "Art for Autism" zine will be sent to you. All zines will be sent starting April 23rd. Donors are free to give any amount above $20 to support the ASAN.
Why the ASAN?:
The Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) champions the rights of autistic people. Their mission is powerful: to ensure autistic individuals have equal access, rights and opportunities. The ASAN empowers the autistic community to shape their own future, embodying the principle, "Nothing About Us, Without Us!" Your donation directly supports their crucial work.
