Art of VIII School of Dance Building Fund

Hi, my name is Janicka Arthur. I am the Founder & Chief Movement Strategist at Art of VIII School of Dance. I'm fundraising to make a home in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex exclusively for ADULT dance enthusiasts.

Here at Art of VIII School of Dance, we believe that dance isn’t just for children or about intricate steps and pretty costumes. It’s a fundamental form of human expression. It’s a radical act of self-love – and an opportunity to foster connections, celebrate our stories, and move through space and time with intention.

Who better to experience this fulfilling form of mental, physical, and emotional advancement than adults?

And....we deserve and owe it to ourselves to experience this transformation in a safe environment with like-minded adults that are inspired by the strength, grit, and utter courage it takes to start as a beginner, develop our minds, train our bodies, and humble our souls.

With your support, Art of VIII School of Dance will make an 8,000 square-foot space entirely ours – with Marley floors, barres, and a bumpin’ sound system. Thanks to you, we’ll also be able to welcome additional instructors and expand our offerings, providing new explorations into movement, embodiment, and personal fulfillment.
