Art Studio Fire

Hi everyone,

9/30/2022 I recieved devastating news that my art studio had caught on fire. I'm currently an artist resident in Crafting The Future which provides me an amazing opportunity to have an art studio space for 6 months. I recently lost my studio due to financial hardship so this residency has been a blessing.

Everyone in the space is safe and I'm very grateful for that. Right now they are unsure of the cause of the fire but it could be from illegal fireworks on the roof (this space was unregulated) or electric.

Unfortunately, there was alot of water and smoke damage that destroyed artwork that was ready for exhibition and some works had already sold. My equipment and inventory of papers are also lost. 

I’m lost on what to do next but I know I need to keep making work and prepare for exhibitions. The funds from this GOFUNDME will help replace all the damaged supplies and artworks that were lost and enable me to work after they rehabilitate the spaces.
