Can you imagine sending your child to a school where there is no opportunity for artistic creative expression? In many underserved areas, this is a reality. These schools cannot afford specialist art teachers, so the responsibility falls on the classroom teachers.

Beside not having proper guided instruction, the students in these underserved areas lack basic art supplies, such as colored pencils, clay, tempera paints, watercolors, and brushes. If these children are ever to use these art materials, they need to be available in the classrooms and their teachers must learn how to integrate art with the CORE subjects to stimulate creativity and enhance the learning experience.
