ARTISTS FOR A CARBON NEUTRAL FUTURE
ArtZero guides artists through the carbon neutral transformation process with access to programs that directly reduce our overall carbon footprint.
We join and encourage all artists to change our creative processes to help us achieve a carbon neutral world by 2050.
We are aligned with the United Nations Climate Now initiative. Our offsets will support the UN's validated and verified renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects globally that reduce carbon dioxide emissions and help ease the threat of climate change.
Artwork can be created to adopt carbon neutral practices. Artists can choose sustainable materials and practices that reduce our overall creative carbon footprint. Part of ArtZero's mission is to catalog and provide access to these new carbon-reducing materials. Pledge to become carbon neutral, and learn simple, practical ways to reduce your carbon output and certify your artwork as carbon neutral.
HOW IT WORKS
CARBON NEUTRAL CERTIFICATION FOR THE ART WORLD
Artists can access their artwork's carbon footprint on our website by measuring the materials, energy, transportation, and processes used to create. Once your work's carbon footprint has been established, you can learn ways to make your artwork carbon neutral and then certify this work to include offsets.
Artists, museums, galleries, collectors, and auctioneers can all participate to insure a better future and contribute to the global reforestation movement at the same time.
ArtZero will be your official certification organization and provide each work with a public page to verify your artwork as carbon neutral.
THE NEU ARTIST'S HANDBOOK
ArtZero will go beyond offsets with The Neu Artist's Handbook of green materials and processes. This handbook will serve as an encyclopedia of environmentally friendly ways that artists reduce our carbon output from the beginning of the creative process. The Handbook will be a stand-alone website and mobile app.
ZERO WEEK FOR MUSEUMS
Educational programming, workshops, and exhibits hosted by local museums, galleries, studios, and community spaces, will be launched during / near Earth Day celebrations in a week-long event creating awareness of the importance of carbon neutral art practices.
Join us on our collective journey to a carbon neutral world by 2050. Together, we can make the world a better, healthier place for us all to thrive.
