Arthur Chambliss Memorial Fundraiser

With a very heavy heart, we are sad to say that Heaven gained an Angel and this world lost a great man, Arthur "Artise" Chambliss, on August 4th, 2019.
We are here to take care of Artise's family, in their time of mourning and need. We all know and love our big friend Artise, but not nearly as much as he loved each and every one of us.
Artise was originally from Austin, a true "Austinite", not something many people can claim anymore. He graduated from W.B. Travis High School, Class of 1976. He was a big ole teddy bear, and he loved being around people and the bar, making sure "his family" was always taken care of and respected. Artise is known for being one of the best "bouncer/ door guys" in Austin, and he was always proud of that. He made tons of friends all over Austin, that soon became like family, some knew him from their favorite bar or dancehall, and a lot of us know him thru Rodeo Austin. Artise left an everlasting impact on every person he met, and of course, Rodeo Austin. The rodeo will never be the same without Artise, but we can take comfort in knowing that he is now in Heaven, and always in our hearts.
He and his legacy WILL live on thru his two son's Jacob and Troy, and two daughters, Allison and Mechelle.
Artise was with his mother, assisting her on a road trip to Mississippi to see one of her friends. While on their trip, he passed suddenly due to a medical issue.
Arrangements are being made with the local funeral home in Mississippi, and the memorial services will be held in Austin, Tx sometime in the following weeks, the information will be posted on this page and many other places as soon as the details are finalized.
