Cancer...
Seven years ago our dear friend Artie Levin, AKA Partie Artie, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Stomach Cancer. Gastric Cancer is a truly devastating disease with a survival rate of less than ten percent. Artie, with his whimsical character and the love from his many friends, battled this disease and has learned to live his life without a stomach. Artie has kept his positivity and upbeat personality throughout these last seven years of remission.
Recently, Artie has received the devastating news that the cancer has returned. This time it is attacking his liver. Liver cancer is treated with strong doses of Chemotherapy, and sometimes surgery. There is no cure for liver cancer and the treatments can have many terrible side effects. Arthur is again facing this battle with courage and positivity. He continues to help others even though he himself is hurting.
So today I am asking his many friends for some help. Artie has touched many peoples lives in many ways over the years. Personally, Artie helped me in my time of need when I thought no one else would. In over thirty years of friendship, he has never asked anything in return for his generosity. Arthur is going to need help with living and medical expenses, transportation to and from appointments, food and other living expenses while he undergoes this fight for his life. Any donations, encouragements, prayers, or even a ride to treatment, would be beyond appreciated.
I thank you all in advance,
Dustin Phillips
