My name is Cordell Sloan. I am an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer and owner of Intelligent Soft Systems LLC, a small business consultancy focused on AI, machine learning, and data science.

We at Intelligent Soft Systems are dedicated and passionate about creating a more ethical and inclusive future for artificial intelligence. With recent breakthroughs providing powerful applications that are widely available, we have come to a watershed moment. A.I. is not a future thing anymore; it's happening now.

With this surge in utilization, AI systems are often built on biased datasets or using biased algorithms, which can perpetuate and amplify existing societal biases and discrimination. Additionally, AI systems can reinforce existing social inequalities by giving advantages to those with access to the technology and perpetuating structural barriers for marginalized groups not included in their creation.

We believe that AI has the power to transform our world for the better, but only if it is developed and used ethically and inclusively. That's why we are focusing our business on mitigating bias and discrimination in AI and ensuring that AI systems are designed to benefit everyone, not just a privileged few.

• Data auditing and cleaning services: We will offer data auditing and cleaning services to make sure that the datasets used to train AI systems are diverse, inclusive, and free of bias.

• Bias testing and auditing: We will provide bias testing and auditing services to help businesses identify and mitigate potential biases in their AI systems.

• Community engagement and consultation: We will offer community engagement and consultation services to help businesses engage with the communities that will be impacted by their AI systems and ensure that the systems are designed to benefit everyone.

• Ethical framework and policy development: We will assist businesses in developing ethical frameworks and policies that outline how they will ensure that their AI systems are developed and used ethically, with considerations for fairness, accountability, transparency, and privacy.

• Diversity and inclusion consulting: We will provide consulting services to help businesses build more diverse and inclusive teams and foster a culture of inclusion that is reflected in their AI systems.

• Designing a collaborative work platform: We will create a collaborative work platform that is membership based, where members can share knowledge, resources, and expertise to help each other develop more ethical and inclusive AI systems. The platform could include tools for project management, communication, file sharing, and version control to facilitate collaboration.

• Expertise sharing: The platform will also include a directory of members and their areas of expertise, which could be used by clients to find experts for their AI projects. Members could also offer their expertise to support disadvantaged businesses and organizations that provide services for marginalized groups, through pro bono work, volunteering, or discounted services.

• Incubator program: The business will offer an incubator program for disadvantaged businesses and organizations that provide services for marginalized groups. The incubator program could provide resources, mentorship, and support to help these organizations develop empowering AI systems for pursuing their goals.

• Special Projects: We will sponsor projects that bring together experts from different fields, including data science, ethics, and social justice, to collaborate on innovative solutions to interesting problems.

• Training and education: We will offer training and education programs on how to develop models and AI systems. These programs could be offered to members and clients, as well as to disadvantaged businesses and organizations that provide services for marginalized groups.

• Research and advocacy: We will conduct research and advocacy work to promote responsible AI. This could include publishing research papers, organizing workshops and events, and advocating for progressive policy changes.

We will build a Techno-Social platform for collaborative activities. Overall, the collaborative work platform would be a powerful tool for knowledge sharing and community building among members of the community. Will enable:

• Developing AI-powered tools to support social services: Members of the platform could collaborate to develop AI-powered tools that support social services such as healthcare, education, and social welfare.

• Leveraging AI for social justice advocacy: Members of the platform could collaborate to use AI to support social justice advocacy efforts.

• Supporting the development of AI-powered social enterprises: Members of the platform could collaborate to support the development of AI-powered social enterprises that are dedicated to creating social impact.

By leveraging the technical and social expertise of its members, the platform could promote synergistic and creative collaboration that leads to the development of innovative AI solutions to address social issues. Members could collaborate to identify opportunities for impact, develop and test prototypes, and scale successful solutions. The platform could also provide a space for members to share best practices and learn from each other's successes and failures.

For minimum-cost MLOps, we are implementing a hyper-automated SaaS platform with workflow optimization for a number of high-value use cases we expect to support.

Your donation will enable us to build this platform. It will cover the costs of developing the software systems, refocusing, and operating our business, including salaries for our team, equipment, software, marketing, and other expenses for an expected six-month implementation plan.
