Artisan Pewter Foundry

Hello!
My name is Kierston Aiello, and I am crowdfunding to help me fill a HUGE gap in the craft industry for quality US made jewelry components..I am building a new Artisan Pewter Foundry and Artist collaborative!
For 8 years, I worked at a well-loved and respected American Pewter foundry that made high quality findings for the Craft trade. Last year, that company closed down, creating a huge gap in the marketplace. When the business was closed, I was fortunate enough to acquire (thanks to the generous owners) a substantial amount of production casting equipment...enough to fill large production orders and create lines of new jewelry findings to share!

What will the money be used for?
- Transforming a barn space into a safe working environment with fireproofing, insulation, dust collection, and proper ventilation.
- Purchasing necessary equipment, machine repair & installation
- Purchasing initial supplies for first run of products
- Full website for Retail and Wholesale customers
- Legal filings and licenses
- Part-time production set-up help and labor
Why should you donate?
- You will be supporting American manufacturing and Artists. My intention is to collaborate with artist friends from all mediums to help bring unique new lines to life!
- I know what I am doing. I am a trained metalsmith, with a unique understanding of production casting. I ran the design department successfully for a number of years and have a top-to-bottom understanding of EVERY PROCESS it takes to make beautiful parts.
- For the love of the DIY Craft market! There is a very limited amount of quality findings available, especially American Made. If you love making jewelry, it is a WIN-WIN situation.
- Custom Casting availability! I spent many years working with fantastic customers to help them develop unique items for their shops and projects. I intend to continue this practice and help other people realize their dreams as well.
My aim is to be completely set-up and ready to cast by April 1st, but this depends on my ability to come up with a substantial amount of money.
I know there are so many people in need, but I would appreciate any support you can offer! Every dollar helps, and every 'SHARE' gets me closer to realizing my dream!
THANK YOU!
