Artist Reboot - Relief Fund for Creatives
Donation protected
Who are we?
Artist Reboot is a mutual aid relief fund formed by New Orleans-based creatives Kim Lyn and Taylor S. Hunter to provide financial support to creatives who have been directly affected by the devastations of Hurricane Ida.
Why is this important to us?
The physical destruction of this storm combined with a global pandemic has the potential to threaten our already vulnerable gig economy and add to a loss in overall creative revenue. This event could be stifling not only the financial livelihood of artists but also their overall creative wellbeing and mental health.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise money to cover artists who require financial assistance for housing, food, travel, and supply/gear replacement needs. We currently are aiming to raise $3,000 in which we will disburse individual stipends for artists to put towards their direct needs during this time.
How to support?
1. Make a donation towards our overall goal so that we can provide assistance to a larger number of artists.
2. Follow our Instagram for additional ways to contribute donations to our artist community.
How will funds be disbursed?
This GoFundMe will run from 9/11 - 9/25. The Artist Reboot team will distribute stipends directly to artists by 9/30. Fund recipients must complete the form here to be considered for a stipend.
